Geyik Coffee Roastery & Cocktail Bar’s bright orange coffee roaster expels its fresh coffee bean fumes into the street attracting those specific caffeine snobs. In fact, anyone who walks past Geyik can’t help but sit down or say something along the lines of “oh look at this place.” Serkan İpekli, the co-owner and barista alongside mixologist Yağmur Engin, is in love with coffee and it’s clearly present in one of the smoothest espresso shots we have ever tasted. Beans from El Salvador, Colombia, Honduras, Ehtiopia, and Nicaragua are used but change according to Serkan’s professional whims.

After a certain hour, the cafe turns into a bar with delicious cocktails (the Blackberry Cobbler comes highly recommended), with a sweet vibe you can’t get enough of emanating from the original marble floors to the wood beam ceiling and of course the infectious enthusiasm of its owners. Also drop by for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings and look out for upcoming coffee workshops with Serkan.
